Cool New Spots to Check out Near Hidden Hills Villas

Cafe_Uluwatu_Bars_Activties_Bali

What was once a sleepy surf town is now becoming one of the hottest spots on the island. Uluwatu has come a long way in recent times and has new cafes, bars and other attractions popping up all over the area. Here, we run you through spots that have opened in the past year that are worth checking out.

The Loft (Healthy food, good for breakfast, lunch and happy hour)

The Loft is considered one of the islands most instagrammable cafes, with its baby pink walls and adorabe quotes scattered around. However, while the cafe certainly is stunning, it’s food and drinks menu doesn’t fall short either. Packed full of delicious and healthy choices, like poke bowls and Hummus plates, their meals will leave you satisfied and happy. Hot tip: head to the loft between 5-7pm for happy hour and you can buy one cocktail and get one free.

Guapa (Mexican food, good for dinner)

Guapa is the baby sister of the already famous Bukit Cafe, which is located just up the road and is renown for its amazing food. Here, the cuisine on the menu is Mexican and you’re spoilt for choice with dishes like ceviche, jalapeño poppers, empanadas and burrito bowls. Each table is candle lit and the music choice is soothing, making it the perfect place for a date night.

Hatch (A bar that’s great to party or get a cocktail at)

If you’re looking for a party, then you can’t go past Hatch. On first appearance, the paint job - which is a kaleidoscopic tie dye of purples, pinks and blues - will have your head turning. Hatch is the new hotspot on the Bukit and has events on most nights, if you’re after a party night with a DJ, head there on the weekend, pop in on Monday or Tuesday for tattoo nights or hit the treetop markets on Sunday from 11am-3pm.

Doppio Zero (Italian restaurant good for dinner)

Rolling Fork is one of the closest restaurants to Hidden Hills Villas, which makes us very lucky as their Italian food is to DIE for. A few months ago, they opened up another joint closed to the peak of Uluwatu called Doppio Zero. Here, you’ll find a more extensive cocktail list, some banging beats and of course, the same delicious pizza as Rolling Fork.

La Bomie (Clifftop bar good for drinks)

New kid on the block, La Bomie has only opened in the past month and sits on one of the most prestige spots on the island; at the top of the cliff right next to Single Fin. Like all the other beach clubs it also has an infinity pool overlooking the ocean and a large upstairs area with incredible views. As the beach club is quite new and still finding it’s feet, you’ll catch some amazing food and drink specials here that won’t break the bank.
