The Area of Uluwatu

The Area of Uluwatu

The Bukit (as it is commonly referred to) includes the famous cliff-hanging temple at Uluwatu, a number of Bali’s very best beaches, such as the famous Padang Padang Beach, as well as the top surfing spots on the island.

The area of Uluwatu is beautiful and offers spectacular ocean views from the cliff tops. Nearby is the famous Uluwatu Temple (5min), which is devoted to the Hindu Gods of the Sea and is considered by the Balinese, and visitors alike, to be one of the most magical temples on the island. The famous traditional Balinese Kecak dance is performed on the grounds of Uluwatu Temple every night at 6pm.

Only a 10min drive away is Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park (GWK). One of Bali’s latest and greatest cultural wonders. GWK is an amazing stone park filled with some of the largest statues and sheer rock walls you are likely to ever see. Once completed it will include the largest statue in the world.

Drive 5min further and you will arrive at Jimbaran Bay, the place to meet for dining with friends at night. Fresh seafood galore, this is a wonderful place to eat some of the best seafood cooked in traditional BBQ style.

Nusa Dua is only 20min away and offers plenty of recreational facilities, water sports and sumptuous dining options.
